The Renaissance Club launches ‘One Time Only’ golf experience

The Renaissance Club (TRC), one of the world’s most exclusive golf clubs, is opening its doors to non-members to experience what it’s like to call this Scottish super-club your home course.

The Renaissance Club is calling it the “One Time Experience” and says it’s for anyone that loves the game of golf.

The chance to play this Tom Doak designed links course on the doorstep of Muirfield and Archerfield Links in East Lothian, Scotland, does not come cheaply, but it is without doubt one of the most desirable tee-times in the ‘Home of Golf.’

There is no confusion surrounding this promotional package. You can play and stay at Renaissance Club just once, after that if you want to return you’ll have to apply for membership.

The Renaissance Club has been hailed by critics and golfing professionals as the ‘Best New Course in Great Britain and Ireland’ by Golf Monthly, and, as one of the most exquisite golfing venues in the world.

While the club is exclusive and an elite golf destination, it is welcoming and offers a number of ways to enjoy the property, from children’s golf camps to ladies mornings and golf tuition.

The Renaissance Club is the vision of the Sarvadi family from America who hired the services of acclaimed course architect Tom Doak to create an unforgettable links golf course serviced by rooms and clubhouse in this windswept but beautiful corner of East Lothian.

It opened for play in 2008 at a time when Doak’s reputation was at its highest, following his creation of incredible projects like Cape Kidnappers in New Zealand, Pacific Dunes in Oregon USA and Barnbougle Dunes in Tasmania, Australia.

There is a spa, gymnasium and treatment areas, well-appointed locker rooms, great 19th hole with some of the world’s most expensive whisky and 23 luxurious lodging rooms.

Locals call the area “The Golf Coast” with three of the most historical courses in the world – Muirfield, Gullane and North Berwick – within a five mile stretch of land.

The Renaissance Club is an exclusive but welcome addition to this coastline, the East Lothian golf community and Scotland as a whole, especially when you consider the unfulfilled promise of Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeen, the self-styled ‘greatest golf course in the world,’ and the resort that never was.

  1. This club is disgraceful!
So called one time experience! Yes, a negative experience!!
Due to Covid, coming from abroad, we have had to reduce our numbers from 12 to 8 & they are refusing to return any so called deposits! There are no deposits as you must pay the whole amount in advance. Tee times in July, now April!
Visit Scotland is promoting this type of behaviour!?
