Global Golfer recently reported on golf companies hitting back at excessive airline carriage charges for golf tourists.

Irish budget airline Ryanair recently hiked its prices on carriage to £50 per bag and another company – set up by Ryder Cup hero Paul McGinley – has seen rapid business growth with its club hire business in major European airports.

  • The offer is valid for flights between 1st April returning on or before 31st May 2012
  • offers flights to Faro from Belfast, Blackpool, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and Newcastle
  • To qualify for the discount golfers need to add carriage to the booking as normal and enter promo code: FAOGOLF at the payment stage of booking

The Algarve is serviced by 26 UK regional airports and has more than 30 golf courses.

With good year-round weather and high quality accommodation it is an excellent choice for a European golf break.
